Is it free to post a request?
Yes. Posting a request costs clients nothing, and neither does receiving offers from teachers.
How do I choose the right teacher?
Verified teachers send you offers with their own price. Compare their profiles, subjects, experience and reviews, chat with the ones you like, and hire the one who feels right. There is no obligation until you do.
Are the teachers real and verified?
Teachers and clients can verify their identity with their National Identification Number (NIN) and earn a verified badge on their profile, so both sides know who they are dealing with.
Can lessons be online or in person?
Both. Say which you prefer when you post your request, then agree the details with your teacher, including the schedule and the tools you use, such as Google Meet or Zoom.
How does payment work?
Once you agree the terms and milestones with a teacher, you pay through Find A Teacher. We have partnered with a licensed financial institution to protect your payments. Your payment is held safely and released to the teacher as you approve each milestone, so you only pay for work you have received.
Who can see my contact details?
Teachers never see your phone number or email on Find A Teacher. You chat with them on the platform.
Does it cost teachers anything?
Signing up is free, and every teacher gets free bids each month. To bid on more requests, teachers buy coins. The price varies with the request. There are no subscriptions.
How do I get verified as a teacher?
Open your profile, enter your NIN and submit it. The name on your profile must match the name on your NIN records (first and last name at least).
